Book Review - Growing Agile Leaders, by Robert D. Dale

As a coach, leader, and coachable leader, I find this book to meet many of my needs. It offered tremendous help for me in some transitions I am currently experiencing while offering a lot of practical coaching insights I will use when helping others. Much is said about why coaching in leadership is such an essential practice in which we should all participate. Bob is a phenomenal teacher!

Be. Then Do.

Spin cycle.  This is frequently the term I use when describing my life and ministry.  There are seasons of extreme busyness that thrill and haunt me.  The thrill is found in feeling wanted, needed, and important.  The haunt is fatigue, loss of energy, and feeling disconnected at home.

Honor

Do the right thing.

Before God called me to ministry, I was enjoying a relatively successful radio career in my hometown.  One attribute of being a radio broadcaster is developing a strong sense of self-confidence.  Some in this field never learn to control theirs and end up with huge egos.  The larger the ego, the more likely they are to accept praise whether deserved or not.
